In addition to litter picking, we have been involved in community activities and publicity, liaising with the council and education. In the first 5 years, we have collected over 5000 bags of litter and now have over 850 members. Our oldest finds are crisp packets dating back as far as 1995 and we've hauled 54 shopping trolleys out of the River Irwell to date.

- Cleared out skip in the park and planted it up
2020-2022 - River cleans
December 2022 - As part of an initiative by the Angling Trust, we started sampling the water in the RIver Irwell at two locations, on a monthly basis over the next two years.
March 2023 - Delivered Litter Pick Board to Nuttall Park for use
August 2023 - Met United Utilities River Rangers, a new initiative to help with clean ups and give us direct access if there is a problem.
October 2023 - College and Waste Base App - linked to Bury College with Keep Bury Clean re their successful funding application from R4GM. Plan is for workshops/litterpicks with the students. Unwaste.io have designed a Waste recording App for us to use, and hopefully the college with also participate.
