Encouraging Community Litter Picks
We actively encourage groups to borrow our equipment which we can loan out for a period of time (see Equipment) to encourage them to organise their own litter picking activities and get their community involved.

We recently partnered with:
- Philips Park forest school leader and run sessions in Philips Park each Friday for home educated children and their families.
- Elms Bank School & College - who are getting the students out around Prestwich including Heaton Park litter picking
- The Heys School - who are going to get the students out to take care of their neighbourhood along Heys Road
- CVM Church, Prestwich who ran a litter pick on 16th September around St Mary's Park and want to continue every 3rd Saturday of the month as they do outside church activities to support the community.
- Jewish Action for Mental Health (JAMH) - we have organised a litter pick as part of Mitzvah Day for the 21st Nov 2021, see litter picking schedule.
- The Wildlife Trusts - Lancashire, Manchester and N Merseyside - we have organised a litter pick with them at Philips Park, Prestwich for 05th Dec 2021.
- J17 Adolescent Inpatient's Unit at Prestwich Hospital who as part of Mental Health Awareness Week did some litter picking activities around the hospital site.
- St Mary's CE Primary School, Prestwich - have actively encouraged parents and staff to sign up to our 'Adopt Your Street' campaign - this has been advertised and promoted on School's Dojo by the headmistress.
- St Margaret's Primary School in Oldham, a teacher who lives in Prestwich borrowed children litter picking equipment and to run a litter pick with her class of 33 children - aged between 8-10, she noted "Thanks so much for lending us the equipment. The children absolutely loved the experience and want to do it every day!"
